Dallas, TX (August 12, 2025) – AOA Orthopedic Specialists, one of the largest independent orthopedic practices in Dallas, has added a spine surgeon, bringing the total number of physicians in the group to 28 across six locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
Dr. Timothy J. Choi– specializing in orthopedic spine surgery, Dr. Choi completed his Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Fellowship at the San Diego Spine Foundation. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency at University of New Mexico School of Medicine and his medical training at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston, TX. Dr. Choi will begin seeing patients in the Waxahachie, Dallas/DeSoto and Midlothian offices on August 18, 2025.
Dr. Choi’s extensive training has provided him with the skills to perform both complex and minimally invasive spine surgery procedures, while focusing on a personalized approach to patient care. He has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications and national presentations on spinal deformities, surgical outcomes, and innovations in spine care.
