A long journey
If you are interested in a medical related field, you are probably already well aware that it will be a long journey as it requires many years of education. For almost all healthcare careers, there will be four years of undergrad along with 2+ years of post-graduate education. While the years of education will be mentally taxing, they will also be extremely expensive.
Financially stressful
The average debt of a doctor coming out of medical school is close to $200,000. As if school itself was not stressful enough, this price point can be extremely intimidating for prospective students. At AOA Orthopedic Specialists, we want your main focus to be learning and maintaining a competitive GPA so you can be the best healthcare professional you can be.
AOA Orthopedic Specialists Scholarships
AOA is proud to announce that we will be sponsoring multiple scholarships for those seeking a career in a medical related field. This includes but is not limited to: being a doctor, nurse, athletic trainer, physical therapist, occupational therapist, physicians assistant, or medical assistant.
Requirements for Application
In order to apply for one of the AOA Orthopedic Specialists scholarships, you must be eligible with the following requirements:
- Have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA
- Show proof of admission to a medical related program
- Three references (two professional, one personal)
- Write a personal statement explaining why you deserve a scholarship, and what you plan to do with the education that you would receive with it
