AOA Orthopedic Specialists offers various internships that provides both hands-on and real-world experience that will enable individuals to apply the skills and techniques they learn to future jobs.
We provide a professional and friendly work environment that promotes proactive learning to each individual intern. Our providers and clinic staff take the time to thoroughly educate our interns in order to help them feel comfortable and confident in what they’re learning. The skills that our interns gain from working with AOA includes hands-on learning, individualized training, adaptability, time management, interpersonal communication between staff and patients, and much more.
We are a group of medical professionals, therefore our interns are held to the same standards as our staff when it comes to reliability, being able to perform in a fast paced environment, and being able to maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in the workplace.

Physical Therapy Internships
AOA Orthopedic Specialists offers physical therapy at our Arlington, Mansfield, and Irving locations. As a physical therapy intern, one can expect to experience the most hands-on experience we offer. Our comprehensive team of physical therapists, occupational therapists and therapy assistants provide care tailored to each individual patient.
Interns are required to work closely with patients’ to improve their well-being based on their individual bodily limitations after surgery or an injury. Physical therapy interns will learn detailed techniques from our medical professionals in the attempt to restore the overall quality of life of the patients we see here at AOA.
Clinical Internships
Clinical interns are immersed in the learning community and provided with opportunities to develop and demonstrate competence in the professional role they are preparing for. Our clinic staff will work closely with their interns to ensure that viable and comprehend able skills are not only taught, but also understood.
The information and skills that our staff teaches interns reflects real workplace endeavors and interns are expected to uphold the core values of AOA.
Healthcare Administrative Internships
Health care administrators are responsible for the overall management and oversight of health care organizations. In addition to staffing and budgeting, health care managers must have policy expertise and in-depth understanding of medical record systems.
Interns will learn vital management skills and policies that will aid in planning, directing, and coordinating medical and health services.
