Damian Sacky, D.O.

Too often, treating pain is seen as just being about taking pills – but it doesn’t have to be that way. My name is Dr. Damian Sacky, and I am a pain medicine physician.

I graduated from the University of California Davis Pain Medicine Fellowship, a program that earned the 2016 Pain Medicine Fellowship Excellence Award from the American Academy of Pain Medicine, and also designated a Center of Excellence by the American Pain Society.

I am a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physican. PM&R doctors treat medical conditions of the nerves, bones, muscles, and ligaments.  We focus on finding how to improve your life and not just mask your pain. My job as a doctor is not to just give you medication, and frankly you deserve better than poorly masking your pain at a heavy life toll. I will work with you to figure out the root cause of your issues, and we will treat the issues from every angle needed. Finally, taking as many approaches as needed, togeather we will to get you back to a more functional life.  You should live your best life, and I will do all I can to help you do that.

About Me

I am a Texas native, and my journey into the world of medicine began when I served in the U.S. Air Force as a Medic. After my time in the military I felt motivated by my experiences to enter medical school. While in my medical training I realized that I was quite passionate about Physical Medcine and Rehabilitation. Then during my PM&R residency I was exposed to pain medicine where I found the calling that would catapult me into a Pain Medicine Fellowship at UC Davis. I have been honored to bring my experience into the academic world, where I served on the PM&R faculty of UT Austin Dell Medical School teaching medical students and resident physicians about pain medicine.  I have recently moved to the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex and joined the team at AOA Orthopedic Specialists.
