Arlington Orthopedic Associates, a well-established 19-physician, orthopedic medical group with offices located in Arlington and Mansfield, Texas, is seeking an experienced marketing professional.

• In conjunction with the Marketing Director and specific specialty physicians, develop marketing plan and strategy for increasing referrals
• Respond to referral physician requests to ensure easy transition of the referral process and patient flow to AOA
• Identify and schedule events that will allow AOA physicians to interact with the community, hospitals and patients through speaking engagements, educational sessions and community events
• Identify any areas of concern and work with the requisite administrative and operations staff to enhance the effectiveness of the patient referral process
• Project a positive and inviting image of the organization
• Exhibit a high level of innovation and creativity related to enhancing AOA’s relationships with its referring physicians
• Identify ways to improve the referral process through communication and electronic connectivity based on referral physician preferences
• Appropriately manage the marketing budget as approved by the Marketing Director and assigned specialty physicians.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or an Associate’s Degree in Marketing with 3+ years marketing experience in the healthcare industry
• Reliable automobile
• Ability to work early morning, evening and weekend hours on occasion
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including high level of competence with PowerPoint

Arlington Orthopedic Associates, a well-established orthopedic medical group with offices located in Arlington and Mansfield, Texas, is seeking an experienced orthopedic surgery billing specialist.

• Responsible for the ICD9 and CPT coding of procedures, hospital charges, MRI and other services performed by the physicians and mid-level providers of AOA
• Accurate coding of services provided by AOA physicians, and mid-level providers, including assigning the correct ICD9, CPT codes, modifier usage and knowledge of CCI edits
• Researches difficult coding questions thoroughly in order to maintain high quality standards
• Provides support to management, staff and physicians in determining accurate coding and billing practices
• Participates in coding audits and educational endeavors as directed by the department director
• Continues personal education by attending seminars and classes as needed
• Obtains current information on changes and updates to the Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) and diagnosis codes
• Understands and abides by governmental and private payer guidelines in coding
• Abides by and promotes HIPAA compliance; maintains strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
• Cross trains and performs other practice functions as directed by the department director

• High school diploma; college or technical school degree, preferred
• 3+ years of similar experience
• Coding certification preferred but, not required

Arlington Orthopedic Associates, a well-established orthopedic medical group with offices located in Arlington and Mansfield, Texas, is seeking a CPC or CCS-P certified medical coder to work in the central business office in Arlington.

• AAPC or AHIMA Certification - CPC or CCS-P
• Orthopedic Coding Experience Preferred
• Knowledge of compliance rules and regulations
• Strong oral and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Ability to work well with Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel
• Three (3) years previous billing and coding experience required
• Must be a CERTIFIED coder with a current certification
• Professional demeanor and appearance is required
• Ability to work in a team environment

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organizational skills
